Biography

Dr. Bao Zhao is an RGC Junior Research Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He earned his PhD in Structural Mechanics from ETH Zurich and holds a Master’s in Microelectronics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research bridges mechanics, electronics, and cybernetics to develop multifunctional smart materials and systems. He specializes in energy harvesting, nonlinear dynamics, metamaterials, and battery-free IoT systems.
