Biography

Professor Yu is Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry and the Division of Environment & Sustainability at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She received her PhD from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. IN 2022, she was elected a fellow of Asian Aerosol Research Assembly and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Atmospheric Environment. Her research focuses on analytical atmospheric chemistry, including method/instrument development for atmospheric applications, chemical characterization of aerosols, chemical transformation of organic compounds in air, source apportionment of air pollutants, chemical kinetic modeling of atmospheric reactions, and oxidation potential of particulate matter.
