Biography

Professor Renbao Liu is the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Physics and the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Quantum Information Technologies and Materials at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests are quantum sensing, open quantum systems, and quantum nonlinear optics. He has been honored with the Huang Kun Prize (2013) and the Willis E. Lamb Prize in Laser Science and Quantum Optics (2022). Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), Optica, and the Institute of Physics (IoP, UK). He is also a Hong Kong RGC Senior Research Fellow and a New Cornerstone Investigator.
