Biography
Professor Kay Chen Tan is the Founding Head and Chair Professor of Computational Intelligence at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, renowned for pioneering work in computational intelligence. He has published over 300 journal articles, accumulated more than 39,000 citations, and achieved an h-index of 97. He has secured over HK$20 million in recent research grants. As an IEEE Fellow, a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, and recipient of numerous prestigious awards, he has held key editorial and leadership roles, including Editor-in-Chief positions and senior offices within the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He has delivered over 80 plenary lectures and co-organised more than 60 international conferences, making significant contributions to the advancement of the field.
