Biography
Zi Yan is a Professor and Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong. He holds the position of Honorary Professor at Deakin university. Professor Yan is the President of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society. His research and publications primarily focus on two areas: educational assessment in both school and higher education contexts, with a particular emphasis on student self-assessment, and Rasch measurement, specifically its application in educational and psychological research. Among his recent publications is the book titled "Student Self-Assessment as a Process for Learning" published by Routledge.
