Biography

Yiu-ming Cheung received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2000. He is a Chair Professor with the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. His research interests include machine learning and visual computing, as well as their applications. He is a Member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and a Fellow of IEEE, AAAS, IAPR, IET, and BCS. Dr. Cheung is the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, and is an Associate Editor of several prestigious journals.
