Biography
Dr. Zhikai Hu received his PhD in 2025 from the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong Baptist University. He was awarded the JRFS 25/26 and continues his academic work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science at HKBU. His research interests include information retrieval and multimodal data analysis, with a focus on supporting users’ everyday information needs and improving access to complex multimodal content in real-world scenarios. He also works on AI for Art & Culture, with a particular interest in applying artificial intelligence to Oracle Bone Inscriptions and other cultural heritage materials, bridging computational methods with digital humanities research.
