Biography

Andrey Rogach is the Yeung Kin Man Chair Professor in Photonics Materials and the Founding Director of the Centre for Functional Photonics at the City University of Hong Kong. He received his Diploma in Chemistry (with honors) in 1991 and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 1995 from the Belarusian State University in Minsk. Between 1995 and 2002, he conducted postdoctoral research and later served as a staff scientist at the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the University of Hamburg, Germany. From 2002 to 2009, he held a tenured position at the Department of Physics of the University of Munich, Germany.
