Biography
Dr. Kwan Tung Li holds a PhD from the Hong Kong Baptist University, with an academic background spanning physics and mechanical engineering. He previously served as a researcher at the Research Institute of Life Science and Computation, Zhejiang Laboratory, and currently holds a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Computational and Theoretical Studies at the Hong Kong Baptist University. His research focuses on machine learning, complex dynamics, and neural computational systems. By integrating computational neuroscience with physical modeling — particularly integrate-and-fire neural network models — he investigates the role of neural oscillations in learning and memory, with the goal of advancing understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.
