Biography

Professor Chan is Chair Professor at PolyU and RGC Senior Research Fellow. He has received numerous honours, including the Senior Scholar Award of the RGC-Fulbright Hong Kong Research Scholar Program, and the RGC Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship. Professor Chan is dedicated to preventing family violence through impactful research and is internationally recognised as a pioneering scholar in family polyvictimisation. His expertise encompasses child and family polyvictimisation, as well as disadvantaged children facing poverty and disability. Since 2019, Stanford University reports have ranked him among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.
