Biography
Professor Yi-jian Yang is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education at CUHK. He directs the Sports Biomechanics and Injury Prevention Laboratory, which studies musculoskeletal biomechanics related to human health and mobility. A key focus of his research is the prevention of falls and fall-related injury (e.g., head injury, hip fracture) in older adults through customized exercise programs, innovative protective devices, and education. He is an Editor of several journals including Journal of the American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA), Journal of Gerontology Medical Sciences, Journal of Exercise Science & Fitness, and Hong Kong Physiotherapy Journal.
