Biography

Professor Gao Zhang is an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Dentistry. His research integrates cancer genomics, multi‑omics, and systems biology to elucidate therapeutic resistance and brain metastasis in melanoma, glioma, and oral cancer. He has published in Nature, JCI, and Nature Communications, holds multiple patents, and leads RGC‑funded projects including the Overseas Research Fellowship. Recognized as a HKU Top 1% scholar (2023‑2025), he serves on editorial boards and as a grant reviewer. His work bridges basic discovery with clinical translation to advance precision oncology and overcome metastatic spread.
