Biography

Professor Kannie Chan is a Professor in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong, and Director of the InnoHK-Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE). She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is an internationally recognized scientist in MRI, with a focus on Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST) MRI—advanced methods that enable in vivo visualization and quantification of molecular processes without metallic or radioactive labeling. Her leadership and impact are reflected in major recognitions, including being named an ISMRM Senior Fellow.
