Biography

Dr. Yang Yonghang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University in 2025. His research is dedicated to addressing key challenges in the field of membrane separation by synthesizing large-area, highly crystalline COF membranes with interwoven grain boundaries, enabling these membranes to combine high mechanical strength with precise sub-nanometer pore size control. His funded project focuses on developing energy-efficient COF membranes for the separation of hydrocarbon molecules of similar sizes in light fractions of crude oil.
